High Conservation Value Forests

Please see attached a self-explanatory announcement and link to a "user questionnaire" from the HCVF Resource Network, a new global initiative of public and private organizations that share and promote High Conservation Value approach in their activities in forest and other landscapes. Feel free to forward to your interested colleagues.

Dear Colleague,
At its first meeting in January, the Advisory Group overseeing construction of the HCVF Resource Network identified a need for a consultation amongst stakeholders. This was envisaged to involve:
1. Conducting "user-need" analyses through discussions and a structured questionnaire
2. Collecting input from interested parties to the content of a proposed charter
I am writing to inform you that this consultation is now underway, and to encourage your participation.
Please go to http://www.hcvf.org/ where you will find the questionnaire, and proposed mission, structure and charter documents for comment. You will be able to complete the questionnaire on-line in Bahasa Indonesia, French, English or Russian (over the course of the next few days we hope to have a Spanish version up too). If you would prefer, you may download a pdf form for manual completion. Please note that this consultation will remain live for the next 30 days.
I would very much like to urge you to engage in this process, and to publicize this consultation amongst your own networks ? it will help us build the HCVF resource network that you need.
I would be grateful if you would forward this message to any one else you think may be interested; if however, you would rather not receive future mail from the HCVF resource network, please send an e-mail to unsubscribe@hcvf.org
With best wishes, and apologies for any X-postings.
